Question (not a criticism): LG reviews a number of games that don’t seem to be mainstream, many of which I have never heard of. That’s great, so don’t get me wrong. And maybe I am just not as plugged in as I thought I was. Just wondering how you choose the less well known ones? Do you go for games that are not given the attention they deserve by other websites? Or do you have contractral obligations to review certain games (while maintaining editorial independence, of course)? Thanks

What do you mean? They review very mainstream games (like COD, Mass Effect, Assasins Creed etc).

Yes, but as per my question, “a number of games” aren’t. Wasn’t referring to the big releases. Just curious cos I don’t know some of the smaller ones (maybe just my ignorance).

lol…no need to harass the poor LG staff on a Friday afternoon 🙂 There’s been a few like Thomas was Alone, Wonderful 101, etc. More of a general question about the games you don’t read about often on other sites. I think it’s great that Indie games (and smaller ones) get media attention here though.

Yeah. Since Zoe started more Indie games have been showcased, it’s her ‘thing’ if you will 🙂 I also agree, nice to have games like that reviewed, many other sites don’t do that. That being said, LG also focus on the CoD stuff (yawn) which also appeals to lots of others! Haven’t seen you here before, so welcome!

haha, yeah – as Rince says I’ve been picking up some of the indie game slack around here 😉 trying to spread the love a bit more and highlight other games that might normally fall through the cracks
