Hey! Remember that “legendary†designer that was to unveil something last week? Turns out it was ex Team Ninja Boss, Tomonobu Itagaki! He’s revealed the first project for his Valhalla Game Studios team since his split with Tecmo.
Called Devil’s Third, it’s a third person shooter that looks to turn the genre on its mangled, dismembered head. It looks to be a bloody combination of brutal melee attacks, high-powered gunplay and gory, gratuitous weapon-based kills. Stylistically, it reminds me a heck of a lot of Bethesda’s Wet – hot chick, guns, swords, combos, blood – but much more frenetic, and a whole lot tighter. There will be a focus on both single and multiplayer elements.
The game will be heading to Xbox 360 and PS3, and published by THQ.
