Ever wanted to see what spooky psychological thriller Alan Wake would look like, if reduced from its sub0hd goodness to something a little more retro? Now you can, thanks to youtube user AnttiApinaPro. While it bills itself as an 8 bit demake, it has sprites that would be difficult to do in 8 bit, and effects that would be tricky for 32 bit systems.
Still, it’s an entertaining look at what a demake of the unfortunately underperforming, but rather incredible Xbox 360 exclusive - complete with little jabs at the game’s general mechanics. I’d play this.
