I have personally never seen the Afro Samurai Anime, so I don’t actually know what’s cutting (‘scuse the pun) when it comes to the story of this upcoming title.
What I do know is that there is a Samurai and he has a big afro and that is nearly enough to get me completely interested already. This video looks at a rather strange section of the game called Body Part Poker, which has the Samurai dismembering his opponents in order to complete an objective.
With similar genre games like Ninja Gaiden 2 pushing the boundaries of game difficulty, something like this could be exactly what the more casual gamer is looking for. Gameplay looks like it could be fun and pretty simple to learn.
Afro Samurai is set to release this week on PS3 and Xbox 360.
