Midweek Movie Mouth-Off: What did you watch over the December break?

Welcome to 2016! I’m slowly getting used to writing a 6 instead of a 5, at this rate I’ll get the date right some time in February. Hope that everyone had a fantastic holiday, and managed to catch some of the new movies that came out in the last few weeks of 2015.

To my shame, I only managed to catch Star Wars: The Force Awakens this December, and I didn’t even get to watch it twice! But, I have a second viewing lined up for this weekend, so I should be okay.

So, did you brave the packed cinemas to take your kids to see The Last Dinosaur? Or did you decide that the Point Break remake was a good idea for some reason? Maybe you listened to what I said about The Last Witch Hunter not actually being that bad (and Kervyn agreed with me!). Or, should I have just titled this article “How many times did you watch Star Wars in December” and left it at that?

Only 3 times but I am working on it. I figure I got one more decent watch left to catch all the subtle nuances and hidden easter eggs. Plus I really need to see that one scene over and over again to try and figure out something.

        Non spoiler post FTW!. 😛

Not a single person has cracked that particular scene although some interesting theories have been .

Three times, nice man! I was too busy over December, but I am proud of the fact that I caught the first show, 11AM on 16 December at IMAX. The only way to avoid spoilers is to watch it first!

Indeed. Only time ever that the parking lot had rush hour traffic at 2 in the morning. 🙂

Only risked the cinema once in December because reasons (crowds). Watched Star Wars broken and was done.

See, this is why I said the article should have just been “So, how many times did you watch Star Wars”, because that’s all anyone did in December!

Star Wars, of course! A lot of fun, and felt I could watch more when it ended!
Last Witch Hunter – not a great movie but still enjoyable enough. Cinema had aircon issues FFS!
Creed – very excellent movie! SW was awesome and a better cinema experience, but I think Creed might be a better, more solid movie…

Yay, someone who watched more movies than just Star Wars! I didn’t manage to catch Creed, I heard that it was amazing, but I’ll agree with you on The Last Witch Hunter. Strangely, it was really enjoyable, even though it was actually kinda terrible! But terrible in a fun way.

Creed takes Rocky 1 to a new level and adds some serious feels to it. Make a plan as soon as you can to watch it!

LWH also had Ygritte, which added something to the movie for me 🙂
