Spotify is testing a new feature that lets users block and mute specific artists

By Geoffrey Tim
January 22, 2019 - 7 years ago

Spotify is going to keep my ears safe. The company is busy testing a new feature that’ll allow users to block or mute specific artists. According to the Verge, the new feature will bock an artist entirely, so “that songs from the artist will never play from a library, playlist, chart list, or even radio stations on Spotify.”

Shazam’s movie costume development worked out to over $1 million per super-suit

By Darryn Bonthuys
January 21, 2019 - 7 years ago

For DC’s Shazam, which is basically what happens when somebody makes a Superman movie where the main character isn’t a sulking superhuman whose greatest strength is creeping people out with a CGI top lip, that wardrobe cost was pretty high. In fact, it cost the better part of $1 million to make each of the Shazam costumes. Each of them, as the flick wound up with ten super-suits for the film shoot.

And then there are those people who clearly need some help.

By Craig Risi
January 11, 2019 - 7 years ago

I don’t have kids, nor the money to send them to an expensive private school if I did.  However, if I did, I would certainly want to send my kids to a school that goes beyond basic education and actually prepares them for a future employment market which requires a lot of tech skills. Something which local education provider Curro …

AfterShokz releases new waterproof bone-conduction headphones which may finally appeal to the serious athlete

By Craig Risi
January 8, 2019 - 7 years ago

The problem with working out with headphones is that it also makes you very susceptible to the happenings of the world around you. Something which might not make a difference to you if you’re working out in a gym, but could prove particularly fatal if you're running on a busy street or swimming in the open water, where you want your ears to be open to the noises around you. Thankfully, a company called AfterShokz has come to the rescue with a new pair of waterproof bone-conducting headphones titled Xtrainers.

In other words: Gym.
