Shadowrun Trailer

By Gavin Mannion
March 6, 2007 - 19 years ago

The TV trailers are coming out for Shadowrun…. It’s quite an artisitic trailer and it really doesn’t give to much away about the game but hey it’s a million times better than that European PS3 trailer that I can say for sure… I personally like the elves (?) hang-gliding with what looks like sniper rifles… Death from above….

This is living – Life sucks if your are European

By Gavin Mannion
March 6, 2007 - 19 years ago

Okay I just sat through the most awful ad I have ever seen in my life. I felt like hours but I think it lasted about 30 seconds… I may have blacked out though.. I am talking about the new PS3 ad that is going to be flighted, or is being flighted, in the EU…. It has nothing of any …

By Gavin Mannion
March 6, 2007 - 19 years ago

Ouch….. The Wall Street Journal has come out and lashed King Ken for his performance in the last couple of years in regard to the PS3.They have called him a renegade who is uncooperative and who has alienated many people inside Sony and even more gamers. He pushed the PS3 way over budget without speaking to the top dogs and only let …

By Gavin Mannion
March 6, 2007 - 19 years ago

This really is completely pointless information for us poor SA gamers but it does bring to light why the main guys ignore most other countries apart from the US and Japan. New research by Nielson has found that 41.1% of American households have a game console which works out to a staggering 45.7 million houses. Which is more than the …

IGN: Shadowrun Developer Speaks

By Gavin Mannion
March 5, 2007 - 19 years ago

IGN has posted an indepth interview with the developer of the new Shadowrun game which is going to be the first real cross platform game utilising the Live! anywhere platform. It’s not the most interesting read and the developer seems intent on getting his opinion across even when he is not asked about it but the game does sound cool. …

Worms Coming to Xbox Live Arcade

By Gavin Mannion
March 5, 2007 - 19 years ago

Finally Worms is certified, priced and dated… Lets blow stuff up… I used to love playing this game on my old PC back in the days and by the look of it they have not changed much in it from then, which is a good thing. I think this will very quickly become one of the most popular titles in …

Games 'make drivers go faster'

By Gavin Mannion
March 5, 2007 - 19 years ago

So some survey group are now trying to tell us that driving games are dangerous as well. I always wonder why people pay for people to do surveys like this. It’s just idiotic really, so what have they found out. Some people will drive faster after playing a racing game on the TV before driving. The only problem with this …

Sony Dropping Blu-ray to $300?

By Gavin Mannion
March 5, 2007 - 19 years ago

So Sony is expecting to seel stand alone Blu-Ray players for less than $300 before the end of the year… There are two different ways to look at this, it’s either going to steal a large part of the PS3 market since it’s cheaper than the PS3 and will most probably be a better player. OR We can expect a …

flOw Reviews

By Gavin Mannion
March 5, 2007 - 19 years ago

Most of the larger gaming sites have now officially reviewed flOw and the results are in…. IGN: 7.6 Gamespot: 7.1 1UP: 7 So all in all a very average score for such a highly pitched game, but is it fair to review it as a game since it really doesn’t have a story, plot or challenge to it… It’s more …

MotoGP '07

By Gavin Mannion
March 5, 2007 - 19 years ago

I thought the gfx on MotoGP ’06 where fantastic but they seem to have kicked it up a notch for the ’07 release. They have also made the game a little easier to play as the most common complaint was about the steep learning curve of ’06… Maybe it’s time we started thinking about a MotoGP tourney? IGN has …

How big is the Crackdown world?

By Gavin Mannion
March 5, 2007 - 19 years ago

So have you been sitting there and wondering how far you can swim out into the ocean in Crackdown or have you already tried this. I don’t quite see the reason but hey at least now we know. You can swim for about 15 minutes and then when you reach the edge it pushes you back a little bit so …
