Lair delayed

By Gavin Mannion
August 2, 2007 - 18 years ago

So after receiving some good and bad scores it has now been announced that Lair will be delayed until September the 4th before it gets released. Officially this is because it is taking longer than expected to include some online functionality in the offline game. However I think it may have more to do with tweaking the gameplay to improve it’s review scores. If …

Resident Evil 5 Racist?

By Gavin Mannion
August 2, 2007 - 18 years ago

Oh look some black empowerment website has a problem with a video game… Because it’s racist. What a suprise… This is problematic on so many levels, including the depiction of Black people as inhuman savages, the killing of Black people by a white man in military clothing, and the fact that this video game is marketed to children and young …

PS3 and XBox 360 cross platform gaming

By feo
August 1, 2007 - 18 years ago

Looks like the PS3 and XBox360 fanboys can finally battle it out against each other to see who’s number 1. The idea is to get Sony and Microsoft to get together a few times a year and create a online gaming tournament where XBox 360 gamers can play against their PS3 counterparts. Basically gamers would have to pay a small …

Lair receives some good reviews

By Gavin Mannion
August 1, 2007 - 18 years ago

Lair gets some good news again, it is being reported this morning that EDGE magazine and GameZone have both given Lair the thumbs up with 9/10 scores from each of them. This would counter the current 5.5 scores floating around. The only way this matter is going to be resolved now is by releasing a demo to the PSN so …

EGM doesn't rate Blue Dragon either

By Gavin Mannion
July 31, 2007 - 18 years ago

Maybe EGM just doesn’t like dragons, after posting earlier about the shocking scores that EGM has given to Lair, one of my readers also posted a link to the EGM Blue Dragon scores… 6.5, 7.5 and 6.5 Marginally better than Lairs results but still shocking… According to EGM Blue Dragon has no strong characters nor a good storyline…. But apart from …

4 PSN games pulled from the network

By Gavin Mannion
July 31, 2007 - 18 years ago

Lestrade over at the PS3 official community forums has posted a thread apologising for the problems that the community has experienced with MediEvil, Spyro, Spyro 2 and Crash Bandicoot that they may have downloaded from the PSN… It’s nice to see a company apologising and accepting that they made a mistake. PS3 fans stop reading here and go about with your daily lives….
