Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is being handled by Shantae developer WayForward

By Darryn Bonthuys
June 17, 2021 - 4 years ago

Nintendo played it safe this week with its E3-adjacent livestream, but for me the biggest news was the reveal of Advance Wars finally being willed into re-existence. The upcoming remake will bundle the first game and the Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising into one meaty product of mobile strategy.

By Craig Risi
June 15, 2021 - 4 years ago

It's hard to believe that the likes of Windows 7 and 8 are still being use by people, but apparently the are. And Nvidia plans to stop supporting it so those gamers that aren't on Windows 10 might want to migrate soon.

Guilty Gear Strive Review – Better call Sol

By Darryn Bonthuys
June 15, 2021 - 4 years ago

Guilty Gear's latest chapter is its most accessible one yet, a righteous display of power and attitude that unleashes the sickest of heavy metal guitar licks and unrelenting style. Its online matchmaking may still need some work before it's ready for the main event, but Arc System Works has delivered a captivating display of coolness and action.

By Noelle Adams
June 15, 2021 - 4 years ago

It’s good to be bad. It’s even better to get away with it. That’s your objective in narrative-driven puzzler Overboard!, the out-the-blue new release from indie developers inkle, which drops you into a 1930s whodunit, as the murderer.

Razer at E3 2021 – New monitor, gaming laptops, and pandemic masks announced

By Darryn Bonthuys
June 15, 2021 - 4 years ago

E3 2021 is almost over, and in keeping with the theme of everyone getting a small press conference, Razer hit the digital stage yesterday to show off its upcoming wares. Nothing too surprising here: some new hardware, confirmation of post-pandemic fashion, and a few peripherals were the order of the day, each one featuring the Razer brand of style, green, and a whole lot of RGB.

DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power Review – The Just-Us League

By Darryn Bonthuys
June 14, 2021 - 4 years ago

DC Super Hero Girls: Teen Power succeeds in not feeling like a simple cash-grab. Much like its source material, it has genuine heart, plenty of activities to take part in, and a cast of characters who are simply adorable. Some of its more social open-world gameplay may feel a touch slapdash, but its colourful and explosive action more than makes up for it by being a blast of addictive and easy-to-grasp fun.
