By Geoffrey Tim

Assassin’s Creed’s gradual evolution to RPG is complete. While it remains familiar, the deeper combat, dialogue choices and consequences have upended Assassin’s Creed’s stealthy roots to deliver a sprawling, multi-tiered historical RPG epic. It’s the culmination of the series own journey, and only fitting it be called Odyssey.

Let’s cut to the chase: October is the month wherein Red Dead Redemption 2 releases, and everyone else is just along for the ride…right? Nope! In a month where you’d have to have some serious chutzpah to take on a game whose marketing budget can easily topple a small nation, the month ahead isn’t giving Rockstar Games and Red Dead Redemption 2 an easy path to ride on.

Dragon Quest 11 falters in the pacing of its story and features an unimpressive OST but at the end of the day, this game is like getting together with an old friend and hanging out on a cool summer’s day; it’s familiar and oh so comforting.

I was late to the BoJack Horseman train, I’ll admit. I only started watching the series just before the third season was released. It ended up being so much more than that, and I finished two seasons in three days.

Forza Horizon 4 review – Robert Burnsout Paradise

By Geoffrey Tim

Forza Horizon 4 isn’t as surprising or inventive as the last one, but that’s hardly a slight considering how good it was. Horizon continues to shine as one of the best things on the Xbox. It’s beautiful to look at, it’s fast and it’s unbelievably fun. Forza Horizon 4 is a joyous, enthralling celebration of racing.

Despite a few issues and a dearth of modes, Firewall Zero Hour is the best multiplayer shooter available on PlayStation VR, and one of the platform’s best games. It’s exhilarating, immersive, tactical team-based fun, and one of those rare VR games that I’ll keep playing long after finishing this review.

Marvel’s new Venom series has become the most metal comic ever

Venom’s story has become needlessly complex over the years, with tours of duty across the cosmos as the symbiote found itself bonded to everyone from Mac “The Scorpion” Gargan to Flash Thompson. What Venom really needed, was a fresh start, and he got just that a few months ago with a series that can only be described in two words: Freakin' metal.
