It's amazing just how much Young Justice got away with on regular TV, a format which is notorious for its restrictions and limits on content. For Young Justice: Outsiders however, those limits have been eased greatly for the show’s return in 2019 on the DC Universe network.
The Batman Who Laughs is a dark knight without limits, and arguably the most popular member of the vigilantes who terrorised the DC Comics Universe in the Metal event. How popular? Popular enough to get a statue from Prime 1, which will set you back $1199 for the regular version and $1399 for a deluxe version which throws in an extra Damien Wayne Robin.
What If? has mostly been a brand with sporadic appearances, confined to limited one-shots and mini-series since the 2000s. That’s not changing, but hell, at least we’re getting six new What If? one-shots later this year that stars everyone from Thor to Ghost Rider. In case you missed it, here’s a handy round-up of all the content that was pumped out.
Announced at San Diego Comic Con, The Worlds of DC signifies the end of an era and the start of a far more focused one.
